About the works

In my drawing work I try to go to the border between drawing and painting. There are motifs from the experienced nature, as well as travel impressions or city portraits. The play of light and shadow plays the main role here. The basis for each of the drawings are innumerable sketches and in addition a comprehensive photographic documentation of the respective motif.

Information about the technique

All drawings are executed with very fine drawing feathers. They create the illusion of a photo at a distance. On closer inspection, however, one recognizes the lively lines and the intense differentiated hatching levels. The drawings are made only with black ink, completely undiluted — so pure black on white. To protect the drawing from contamination during the work, the “Covers” are created.
